BRITTANY CARVALHIDO (11-1-09):

Today was our annual Mall Ball event where our team goes to the Mall of Louisiana to sign autographs, meet the fans and sell some tickets. Needless to say it was a great success as we signed for over 500 fans in a two hour span. The fans took photos, bought tickets and chatted with their favorite players. And of course Coach Chancellor was there as well as the Van Wagon which was parked outside. Here are just a few photos from Mall Ball...please keep coming back because we are going to post more!

Tailgating with TAF

TRAVIS MAYS (10-31-09):

Yesterday we had our annual Tailgate with TAF which is a great event. TAF is of course Tiger Athletic Foundation and they do an amazing job of keeping LSU Athletics and elite program. It is also an amazing group in terms of the numbers of people involved. Each year we come to one of their pre-game parties held in the PMAC and have our team introduced. We feel a lot of love with these ardent Tiger fans!

LOVE THAT TIGER SPIRIT

Media_http3bpblogspot_uliiw
COURTNEY JONES (10-28-09):
How lovely it is to be an LSU Tiger. Every Saturday during football season the fans show so much support. From tailgating all day to their pets. As we (the team) were making our way to the game we noticed this couple with these awesome looking dogs. What made them so special was that they had the words LSU and TIGERS in their fur. We were so amazed that we just had to take a picture. To me that shows a lot about them and that they really love LSU!

My First Boozar

TAYLOR BOOZE (10-27-09):

Tonight the Lady Tigers participated in the Boozar held in the Carl Maddox Fieldhouse. Kids came out dressed in their Halloween costumes and mask ready to meet and greet all the athletes, mainly to take the candy though! Their were some pretty nifty and creative costumes out there tonight, but none of them could top Coach Chancellors Elvis Presley imitation! I must say he was very impressive! Overall, It was a fun and positive enviroment for the kids.

Elvis is Alive!

Media_http3bpblogspot_wjsfo
BOB STARKEY (10-27-09):

The long mystery of Elvis' disappearance has been solved! He's been discovered in Baton Rouge under the cover of a women's basketball coach. Actually it's Coach Chancellor who dressed up for the LSU Athletic Department's Boozar. This traditional event has each of the athletic teams hosting a booth for children of the Baton Rouge community to come and trick or tweet in a safe environment. But it's hard to tell who has more fun -- the youngsters or the student-athletes. Too often it is overlooked how much work LSU Athletics and our coaches and students do to contribute to Baton Rouge overall. Without question, tonight was a huge success. And if I could speak for Coach Chancellor, "Thank you, thank you very much!"

Hanging with Celebrities at LSU

Media_http1bpblogspot_islpj
LASONDRA BARRETT (10-25-09):

LSU Football is not only a great atmosphere for Tiger Fans, but celebrities have enjoyed the electric and thrilling environment in Death Valley. Each time celebrities come they take a tour around the field to view the fans, football team warming up, and The Golden Band from Tigerland. Also, they seem to always stop by the Lady Tigers section, to meet and take pics with us. In the past few football games we have been privileged to meet Shaquille O'Neal, Matthew Mcconaughey, Cuba Gooding Jr. and Tia Mowry. This shows how special LSU is and how everyone, even celebrities, want be apart of the experience!!
