Big Syl named MVP in EuroLeague All-Start Game

LSU's Sylvia Fowles was named the Most Valuable Player in the 2011 EuroLeague Women All Star Game played today in Gdynia, Poland, as the Rest of the World squad routed the Europe team 116 to 88.

Fowles received the honor after leading her team with 16 points and recording four boards and an assist. Four other Rest of the World players scored in double digits, but it was Fowles dominance on both ends of the court that secured the honor.

MVP honors is nothing new to Fowles who nabbed the prize at the 2010 WNBA All-Star game at the Mohegan Sun Arena in Uncasville, Conn., for her heroics on the USA Basketball Women’s National Team.
